Job summary

Stampin' Up! is seeking a Paralegal to partner with multiple teams across governance, IP, and regulatory affairs. You will help operate and protect the brand while navigating a fast-paced global business environment.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex information, compliance initiatives, and corporate documentation with discretion.

Qualifications

• Paralegal degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Support legal governance, corporate compliance, regulatory affairs, import/export, and data protection initiatives.
• Manage intellectual property filings, including trademarks and patents.
• Review contracts, identify risks, and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory developments impacting the Direct Sales model.
• Collaborate with the Policy & Education team on Demonstrator Policies.

As a member of our Legal team, you'll play an important role in helping us operate responsibly, protect our brand, support innovation, and navigate the ever-changing global business landscape.

Role Overview

As our Paralegal, you'll be a trusted partner across the business, supporting a broad range of legal, compliance, governance, intellectual property, and regulatory initiatives. You'll work closely with teams throughout the organization to help ensure our business operates effectively, ethically, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently balance multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

One of the greatest opportunities, and challenges, in this role is managing a diverse portfolio of responsibilities that spans governance, contracts, intellectual property, compliance, and regulatory affairs. Success will require strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to quickly learn and apply complex information in a fast-paced global environment.

What You'll Do

• Exemplify Stampin' Up!'s core values in all interactions and decision-making.
• Support legal governance, corporate compliance, regulatory affairs, import/export compliance, product labeling, environmental compliance, consumer protection, supply chain due diligence, cybersecurity, and data protection initiatives under the direction of the Global Legal Operations Manager.
• Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademark, copyright, and patent administration, filings, renewals, monitoring, enforcement activities, and coordination with external legal counsel.
• Review and analyze contracts and agreements, negotiate routine contractual terms within established guidelines, identify legal and business risks, and collaborate with stakeholders on appropriate resolutions.
• Monitor industry standards and regulatory developments impacting the Direct Sales business model.
• Partner with the Policy & Education team to support Demonstrator Policies and related compliance initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships across departments while serving as a reliable, solutions-oriented resource.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive legal and business matters.

Qualifications

• Paralegal degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain Notary Public certification and bond.
• Significant experience providing proactive support to senior leaders and large work groups with a demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate needs, make recommendations, prioritize effectively, and take appropriate action.
• Experience working with contracts, corporate compliance, and intellectual property management and protection.
• Functional understanding of key business operations including Finance, Product Development, Sales, Marketing, and related functions.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business technology tools including project management, travel, timekeeping, and expense reporting systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in a global Direct Sales organization is preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
