Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking a Paralegal to support the General Counsel across contracts, claims, insurance, corporate, and other legal matters.

You will manage the contract lifecycle, maintain the contract-management system, and assist with reviewing, redlining, and organizing contracts and related documents. This role emphasizes confidentiality and strong organizational skills on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate.
  • 10–15 years of paralegal or closely related legal-support experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years supporting architecture, engineering, construction, or professional-services organizations.
  • Experience managing contracts and maintaining contract records throughout the lifecycle.
  • Experience using contract-management or matter-management systems.
  • Experience supporting claims, including professional-liability and construction.
  • Experience working with insurance policies and certificates of insurance.
  • Strong organizational, written communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the contract lifecycle from intake to maintenance of client, consultant, vendor, and other agreements.
  • Maintain the contract-management system ensuring accuracy and accessibility of documents.
  • Review, compare, revise, and redline contracts and related documents.
  • Organize claim files and project records for professional-services and construction-related claims.
  • Track and maintain insurance policies and related endorsements.
  • Support corporate records, governance materials, registrations, and filings.
  • Coordinate department administrative activities including calendars, deadlines, filing, and invoice processing.
  • Prepare and format contracts, correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.

Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to the General Counsel across contract, claims, insurance, corporate, and other legal matters.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including intake, routing, tracking, execution, filing, and maintenance of client, consultant, vendor, and other business agreements.
  • Maintain the contract-management system and ensure agreements, amendments, and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and readily accessible.
  • Assist with reviewing, comparing, revising, and redlining contracts and related legal documents.
  • Support professional-services and construction-related claims by organizing claim files, project records, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
  • Track and maintain insurance policies, certificates of insurance, endorsements, and contractual insurance requirements.
  • Assist with corporate records, entity documentation, governance materials, registrations, and related filings.
  • Coordinate legal department administrative activities, including calendar and deadline tracking, document filing, records retention, meeting support, invoice processing, and follow-up on action items.
  • Prepare, proofread, format, and organize contracts, correspondence, reports, presentations, and other legal or business documents.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of privileged, proprietary, personal, and sensitive business information.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate.
  • 10–15 years of paralegal or closely related legal-support experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting an architecture, engineering, construction, or other professional-services organization.
  • Experience managing contracts and maintaining contract records throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Experience using a contract-management system, legal matter-management platform, or comparable document-management system.
  • Experience supporting claims and claims-management activities, particularly professional-services, professional-liability, construction, or project-related claims.
  • Experience working with insurance policies, certificates of insurance, endorsements, and contractual insurance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, written communication, time-management, attention-to-detail, confidentiality, and Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with corporate records, entity administration, and corporate-governance documentation.
