State of Wisconsin is seeking a detail-oriented paralegal to coordinate the legal projects for Boards and the department, and to provide professional support to attorneys in drafting legal documents and researching issues. This hybrid role is headquartered at the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison, with in-state telework where appropriate.
Key duties include proofreading, maintaining the template library, managing the DPD Legal Queue, and filing Administrative Rule projects.

Where We Are Located: This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison, at least 2 days per week. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are generally expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview.

This position is responsible for coordinating the legal projects for Boards and the department as assigned, providing professional support to attorneys and attorney supervisors in the drafting of legal documents, researching of legal and factual issues, and management of templates and the policy and procedure library for the Division of Policy Development (DPD) Legal Team’s established practices.Other duties include:
This position is in schedule-range (07-04) with an annual salary of $57,200 - $73,840 plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
