Job summary

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. seeks a full-time Paralegal in our Louisville, KY office to support civil defense litigation matters. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and requires collaboration with attorneys, clients, and staff.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of paralegal experience, familiarity with Kentucky procedures, and strong written and verbal communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a paralegal supporting attorneys in civil litigation.
  • Familiarity with Kentucky court procedures and state e-filing systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with legal document management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; paralegal certificate or formal legal training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial or settlement.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Manage case files (electronic and hard copy) and maintain document organization throughout the life of each matter.
  • Coordinate deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetings, and maintain attorney calendars.
  • Assist with subpoena tracking, medical record collection, and communication with experts and third parties.
  • Prepare exhibits and organize materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Perform factual and basic legal research under attorney supervision.
  • Communicate with clients, court staff, experts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner.
  • Provide overflow administrative support as needed.

Physical Demands
