Paraeducator Positions - Elementary
Full-Time Position
Salary Range: $15.59 - $19.77 per hour
Summary:
Seeking two dedicated Paraeducators to join an elementary education team. These positions involve working under the supervision of classroom teachers or the building principal to support instructional efforts and assist in providing an effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to contributing positively to the educational development of children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to enhance instructional strategies and student learning experiences.
- Prepare and utilize various teaching aids, including bibliographies, charts, and graphs, to support curriculum objectives.
- Present subject matter to students using diverse methods such as lectures, discussions, and role-playing exercises.
- Provide individual or group support to students with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records.
Qualifications
- Successful performance of essential duties requires specific knowledge, skills, and abilities, including effective communication and instructional support techniques.
- A background in education and/or experience working with children is preferred.
Education and/or Experience
- Candidates should have completed two years or more at an accredited college or university, accumulated 60 college credits, hold an Associate's Degree or higher, or have achieved a passing score on a state-approved Para Pro Test.
Skills
- Proficient in reading, interpreting documents, writing routine reports, and speaking effectively to groups.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform arithmetic operations and understand graphs.
- Strong reasoning abilities to follow instructions and address problems efficiently.
Physical Demands
- The role involves regular standing, handling of materials, and communication. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and mobility around the classroom or campus are required.
