Job summary

Lake Orion District Wide in Lake Orion, Michigan seeks a Paraeducator to support students with special needs. Immediate start; hours are full-time with a pay range of $18.27–$21.25 per hour.

Candidates should have an associates degree or pass a state test, plus CPR/First Aid certification and experience with special needs. Responsibilities

• Work directly with children with special needs in developmental learning and life skills.
• Collaborate with parents, students, teachers and principals in a positive manner.
• Assist with gross motor activities such as running, climbing, and physical tasks.
• Heavy lifting may be required.
• May assist in toileting of both male and female students.
• May help manage physically aggressive students.
• Complete required classes/training to maintain the position.
• Flexibility in schedule to meet student needs.
• Perform duties as directed by teacher/administrator and supervisor.

Duties:
