Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator Level I/Lunch Hour Aide Combo at Garrett Park Elementary School in Kensington. The role is 6 hours per day, 10 months, part-time (.750 commitment) with a daily schedule from 9:30am to 4pm.

Responsibilities include supporting instruction, promoting student well-being, and assisting with classroom management. Open to candidates with Associate degree and related training; Parapro assessment requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of experience with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• ParaPro assessment with qualifying score (455+) required or equivalent.
• Ability to support instructional goals and classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student mastery of grade-level or above curriculum.
• Assist with instructional activities and behavior monitoring.
• Provide clerical support to teachers as needed.
