Mukilteo Elementary in Mukilteo, WA is seeking a Paraeducator to work 6.5 hours per day across 180 days per year, supporting students with challenging behaviors within the MBSC program. The role reports to the Principal and starts immediately.

Hours for this position are 8:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support students with challenging behaviors in the Mukilteo Behavior Support Center program (MBSC).
Minimum Qualifications: Basic WA State Para qualifications and experience working with children.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with students in an elementary school setting and preference given to individuals who have worked with students demonstrating specific learning needs related to behavior and social emotional regulation.

JOB SUMMARY:
Assist the teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of a quality instructional program based upon state standards, district curriculum, and effective instruction for students with diverse learning needs. Supervise students at recess, in the cafeteria, library, assistance for students riding the bus, and perform crossing guard duties before and after school. May assist with implementation of special education services for students i.e., IEP goals, medical assistance, physical support and personal care.
