Job summary

Kent School District is seeking paraeducators to support student learning in a dynamic classroom environment. The role follows the KAP Salary Schedule with step placement based on verified experience; salary is annualized and paid through August.

Post hire, paraeducators will complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team as part of ongoing professional growth.

• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution.
• ParaPro Assessment score of 455+ with high school completion or equivalent.
• If not yet met, you can still apply and may take the test prior to hire.

Job description

Salary Schedule KAP Salary Schedule Step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit. Salary is annualized and spread through August.

Paraeducator Requirements

Prior to starring, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.


• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution


• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
  
  
  
  • If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opporutnity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.
