Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary coursework in education or related field preferred.
• Experience with children, including those with disabilities or special needs, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups with academic tasks, life skills, and social-emotional learning.
• Adapt materials and instructional methods in collaboration with teachers.
• Implement instructional strategies under guidance of teachers and support staff.
• Support students' physical needs, including toileting, self-care, feeding programs, and transfers.
• Supervise students during absences, transitions, field trips, or events.
• Assist with informal assessments to monitor progress.
• Participate in team meetings to refine instructional and behavioral strategies.
