Job summary

Consolidated School District of New Britain seeks a Paraeducator – Deaf/Hard of Hearing at Roosevelt Early Learning Center. This position supports students in a classroom setting and assists with communication access for Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners.

Starting date To Be Determined. Competitive pay between $21.70 and $26.63 per hour, with program and education stipends, comprehensive benefits, and retirement options.

Roosevelt Early Learning Center (RELC) is seeking a Paraeducator � Deaf/Hard of Hearing.

Anticipated Start Date: To Be Determined

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • ALL PARAEDUCATOR APPLICANTS must meet ONE of the following requirements and provide the corresponding documentation with their application:
    • 60 college credits or more: Upload official, legible college transcripts showing at least 60 college credits.
    • Passing ParaPro Assessment score: Upload official passing ParaPro Assessment test scores. For more information about the ParaPro Assessment, visit ETS ParaPro .
  • ALL PRESCHOOL PARAEDUCATOR APPLICANTS must meet ONE of the following requirements and provide the appropriate documentation with their application:
    • 12 College Credits in Early Childhood
    • Current, valid Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

SALARY

  • For 2026-2027, pay rate ranges from $21.70/hour to $26.63/hour
  • Additional Differentials:
    • $0.55/hour for special programs (Bridges, Catalyst, KEY, Pathways)
    • $0.25/hour for non-program assignments requiring toileting of students
  • Additional Education Stipend:
    • $1,200 for having 120 completed college credits
    • $750 for having 60 completed college credits
    • $500 for holding a ParaPro/ParaPathways credential
