Job summary

Keshet’s Therapeutic Day School in Skokie, IL is seeking a paraeducator to support students with developmental disabilities in a day-school setting. You will work with teachers and clinicians to assist with academics, social skills, and daily living tasks.

This role offers Training in Safety Care and CPR, a clear path to an ISBE Paraprofessional License eligibility, and a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives.

Qualifications

• Passionate about working with children with developmental disabilities.
• Calm, patient, and confident in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to assist students with personal care, lifting and transfers.
• Physically able to lift at least 25 lbs and support active students.
• Eligible for or able to obtain an ISBE Paraprofessional License (Sub license preferred).
• Previous experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of Judaics is helpful, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

• Collaborate daily with special education teachers and clinical staff.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group student support.
