Job summary

Granite School District in Salt Lake City is seeking a part-time paraeducator (29 hours/week) to assist teachers in instruction and supervision under the direction of the principal and classroom staff.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the principal and teacher(s), the paraeducator assists teachers in a variety of capacities in the instruction and supervision of students. Attendance, physical presence, and timeliness are required and are essential functions of this position.

Required Education And Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• If working in a Title 1 school, one of the following:
  • 48 hours of college credit; or
  • pass the ParaPro exam.

• Work setting is mainly in the classroom.
• May be asked to work inside and outside the building to accomplish assigned tasks. Working conditions can be in hot and cold weather.
• May experience stress from disruptive students and/or groups of students.
