Job summary

Grant Wood AEA has a Paraeducator position available to start as soon as possible. The work will be at our off-site classrooms at Foundation 2 Youth Shelter or Linn County Detention Center. The position will work as a floater.

This position works 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hrs/wk). Starting hourly wage range: $17.95 - $18.55. Benefits include free single health, dental and vision insurance, IPERS retirement system, $25,000 term life insurance and excellent leave benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Paraeducator certificate or two years of paraeducator experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a classroom setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral programming as designed to meet each student's educational needs.
• Assist licensed instructional or support staff in delivering Agency services.
• Work as a floater at off-site classrooms Foundation 2 Youth Shelter or Linn County Detention Center.
