Job summary

Lake Washington School District in Redmond is seeking a ParaPro Instructional Assistant to support teachers and students with diverse needs at Redmond High School. You will assist with individualized and small-group instruction, help prepare materials, and supervise students in various settings while adhering to district policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, an AA degree or two years of college, or passing ParaPro/Pearson assessments;

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Hold an AA degree or higher OR
• Completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours, OR
• Passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher.
• Official documentation will be required upon hire.
• Must pass criminal background check

• Supports students' special health care needs and develops daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assists staff with classroom preparation and retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies.
• May supervise and assist students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, self-contained classroom, playgrounds, or getting on and off a bus.

Shift: 8:20 - 3:35 Shift subject to change.

Location: Redmond High School (located withing the Redmond Learning Community)

Hourly Rate: $30.79/hour position (SC7ParaEd26-27.pdf) Position is eligible for membership in the Teamsters Local Union No. 763 which is part of the Lake Washington School District Trades Bargaining Council No. 763 (TBC).
