Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Monticello, MS facility. This role provides technical support to the paper department to meet safety, environmental compliance, reliability, production, quality, and cost objectives.

You will report to the Paper Area Leader and contribute to a team of 160+ employees. You will work on outage planning, small project execution in the Paper Area, and continuous improvement within the GP Operating System, supporting equipment and processes

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting, commissioning, and/or improving manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Managing projects or leading initiatives.
• Auditing LOTO procedures.
• Participating in PHA audits.
• Using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Navigating PI Vision and/or ParcView data historians.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead event-free outage planning & execution
• Own small project planning & execution in the Paper Area as the Operations representative
• Assist Department Leadership with continuous improvement within the GP Operating System
• Respond to machine upsets & assist team with troubleshooting & problem-solving exercises
• Partner with the Asset Availability Leader (AAL) to resolve process alerts
• Write contracts & upkeep clothing and consumables inventory

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our facility in Monticello, MS. This position will provide technical support to the paper department to achieve key operation objectives in safety, environmental compliance, reliability, production, quality, and cost. This position will report to the Paper Area Leader and play a key role on the paper team of 160+ employees.

Georgia-Pacific Monticello is a fully integrated containerboard mill that employs over 450 employees and continues to benefit from extensive capital investment. What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Troubleshooting, commissioning, and / or improving manufacturing equipment and processes

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant technical discipline
• 2+ years' experience in manufacturing or industrial operations environment
• Experience with the following:
