Job summary

IPG in Georgia is seeking a manufacturing operator to join our production team. You will set up and troubleshoot equipment, ensure products meet specs, and follow standard changeover procedures.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and efficient production flow. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, basic math and computer skills (AS400, MS Office), and the ability to read a tape measure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read tape measure.
• Basic computer skills including AS400 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Set up and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
• Ensure product is manufactured per technical specifications.
• Complete machine set ups per standard and specifications.
• Establish and follow set-up parameters, and improve them.
• Prepare changeover materials in advance.
• Ensure product is packed and identified per specs.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control materials.
• Minimize downtime through proper set-ups and timely issue reporting.
• Coach and mentor assistants with clear instructions.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Perform quality control checks.
• Read tape measure as part of job tasks.
• Be detail-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Use PPE as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Handle related tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Principle Accountabilities

• Responsible for set-up and troubleshooting equipment and processes.
• Ensure product is manufactured and completed as per technical specifications.
• Ensure machine set up’s are completed as per standard and meets specifications.
• Ensure equipment and set-up parameters are established, followed and improved.
• Ensure materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups.
• Ensure product is packed and identified as per specifications.
• Ensure accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies.
• Ensure downtime is minimized by ensuring proper equipment set-ups, material is present prior to changeover and report lack of raw materials, tooling and/or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Coaching and mentoring assistants by providing clear and precise instructions.
• Ensure all safety rules and company policies/procedures are followed.
• Perform quality control checks
• Ability to read tape measure
• Must be detailed oriented and have a sense of urgency
• Use PPE as required
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor

Essential Skills And Experience

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• No travel required
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures above 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to repeatedly lift to a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Must have basic computer skills, AS400, Microsoft Office.
• Must have basic math skills.
