Paper Converting Machine Operator (Manufacturing)

About the Role

Essity is looking for an experienced operator of converting equipment that produces napkins, toilet paper, bath tissue, and other products within a fast-paced tissue converting environment.

What You Will Do
  • Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others too.
  • Able to learn and apply operating and mechanical skills to operate process & equipment efficiently.
  • Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control.
  • Understand the Safe Operation of equipment, what it does/how it works, and can carry out housekeeping, inspection, lubrication, and perform simple maintenance tasks.
  • Lead small change-overs.
  • Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain adequate communication with previous and next shifts as well as with other persons involved in running the machine.
  • Maintain an optimal housekeeping situation.
  • Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification, rejecting and blocking if necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation and data files during production.
  • Meet required hygiene and environmental standards pursuant to customer requirements.
Who You Are
  • Motivated self-starter with strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of prior machine operations experience.
  • Support knowledge and ability to collaborate with small and large teams to sustain production and drive improvements.

Compensation and Benefits:

As part of our Flexible Resource Pool, this position has a starting hourly wage of a minimum of $26.54/hour + benefits, with in-position pay advancement following training completion and qualification on specific equipment.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
