Myers Park Country Club is looking to add enthusiastic members to our team! If you are interested in providing an exceptional experience by preparing food items for breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and special parties, come join the fun. In this role, you will get the opportunity to prepare salads and other cold food items, all while interacting with an award-winning team. We are looking for someone with open flexibility for both morning and evening shifts.

Requirements

  • Work with the culinary team to create an exemplary experience for members and their guests
  • Prepare all salad and cold items needed prior to service - wash and cut lettuce, vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.
  • Maintain product levels during service hours
  • Prepare salad dressings
  • Set-up, maintain, and/or break-down salad prep station
  • Maintain proper operating condition and cleanliness of equipment
  • Ensure that pantry area refrigerators, storage areas, and walk-ins remain clean and neat
  • Cover, date, and neatly store re-usable leftover products
  • Ensure that food products are used within time constraints
  • Prepare and serve items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards
  • Complete food requisitions to maintain proper inventory of necessary items
  • Follow up with members and guests regarding additional selections that will enhance their overall experience
  • Handle member requests personally and/or refer as appropriate
  • Demonstrate MPCC values when providing service and teamwork

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend,
    stretch and twist or reach
  • Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Continuous repetitive motions
  • Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment

Education and/or Experience

  • Culinary experience is preferred
