Panel Shop Manufacturing Supervisor

Our client is seeking an experienced Panel Shop Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production operations and drive continuous improvement within a growing panel shop. This is an opportunity for a manufacturing leader who enjoys being close to the operation, developing people, improving processes, and connecting production, engineering, and quality.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead panel shop manufacturing operations and ensure production schedules are met.
  • Manage staffing, production priorities, and shop floor performance.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and eliminate waste in assembly, staging, and material flow.
  • Track and improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Solutions teams to resolve production issues.
  • Develop CAPEX proposals and business cases based on ROI.
  • Evaluate tooling, fixtures, and automation opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor Shop Foremen and Shop Services personnel.
  • Manage employee performance, feedback, development, and conflict resolution.
  • Support compliance with safety requirements and UL 508A standards.
  • Analyze operational data and use KPIs to drive decisions.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination across production and operations teams.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of manufacturing management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing-related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proven experience leading manufacturing teams and managing organizational change.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments.
  • Knowledge of ERP, MRP, MES, ECO/DCO, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or business intelligence/data visualization experience.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or 5S methodologies.
  • Ability to manage budgets, analyze KPIs, and develop CAPEX business cases.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with both shop floor employees and operations leadership.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge existing processes and improve them.

Compensation:
