Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, PA is seeking a Panel Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will read specifications, assemble and insulate panels, install windows and hardware, and ensure proper labeling and delivery readiness through careful attention to detail.

This is a 1st shift, full-time position offering hourly pay of $22.96–$26.44, with a competitive benefits package and safety-focused training.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED and previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates an attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions and communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Capable of following instructions and solving routine problems.
• Forklift license required (can be obtained within 3 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret specification sheets to identify correct parts.
• Assemble panels and components according to detailed instructions.
• Install windows, hardware, and purchased parts into assemblies.
• Apply insulation to panels as specified.
• Label panels for tracking and organize them for delivery.
• Operate forklifts and other tools to move materials and complete tasks.
• Complete production logs and deviation reports.
• Disassemble and correct improperly assembled or damaged panels.
• Use rivet guns, air guns, knives, and handheld spot welders.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow.
• Follow all safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $22.96 - $26.44 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
