Board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine with internal medicine or family medicine background, you must be eligible for DC licensure.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine with primary board in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Expertise in complex symptom management and end-of-life care.
• Experience in clinical leadership and interdisciplinary team development.
• Strong teaching, mentoring and educational skills.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the District of Columbia.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and program advancement.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Providing leadership and oversight for the palliative care clinical program.
• Supervising, mentoring, and supporting an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
• Advancing program growth, quality improvement, and clinical innovation.
• Collaborating with hospital and health system leaders to strengthen integration.
• Participating in ethics, hospice, quality, and patient-centered care committees.
• Educating medical students, residents, fellows, and practicing clinicians.
• Supporting scholarly activity, research, and evidence-based practice.
• Maintaining partnerships with referring clinicians and specialty services.
• Overseeing fellowship recruitment, curriculum development, mentorship, accreditation, and evaluation.
