Job summary
MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital in Yakima, WA is hiring a Palliative Care Social Worker Specialist (MSW). This full-time role focuses on outcome-based cross continuum care coordination, psychosocial assessments, and interventions alongside physicians and care teams.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Social Work, WA licensure (LASW/LICSW/LSWAA), a valid WA driver’s license, and at least five years of medical experience. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work required.
- Licensed in the state of Washington as LASW, LICSW, or LSWAAS (LSWAA).
- Must have a Washington State driver’s license, good driving record and private auto insurance.
- Minimum five (5) years of recent medical experience.
- Note: additional experience will be considered for starting salary.
- Health industry knowledge preferred.
- Healthcare financial assistance knowledge preferred.
- Leadership experience a plus.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $74,609.60 - $107,348.80 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
