Job summary

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) seeks a candidate for their Supportive and Palliative Care Program. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for patients undergoing oncologic treatment, particularly in advanced symptom and pain management.

You'll work with the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, providing clinical leadership and engaging patients and families in their care plans, while collaborating with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree with board certification in Palliative Care or a relevant specialty.
• Completion of palliative care fellowship training and eligibility for certification.
• Experience in supportive or palliative care is a plus.
• Current or obtainable active, unrestricted medical license in Florida.
• Expertise in symptom and pain management, advanced care planning, and palliative care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation on symptom management and palliative care interventions.
• Collaborate with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to implement evidence-based protocols.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Guide patients and families through advanced care planning processes.
