Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Palliative Care Physician to join our Upper Midwest team, with easy access to Madison, Chicago and Milwaukee. The role is employed with strong leadership and support, offering a salary range of $245,000–$270,000.

The position focuses on inpatient palliative care consultations, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, chaplains and social workers. Board-certified/eligible physicians are encouraged to apply, with relocation and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in a relevant field.
• MD/DO board certified/board eligible.
• The ability to communicate clearly and work as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient palliative care consultations.
• Build a program to align with your practice patterns.
• Work with palliative care nurses, chaplains and social workers as a team to consult and provide care for patients needing palliative care.
• Serve as collaborating physician for nurse practitioners.
