Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or another qualifying specialty.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Montana.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation services for hospitalized patients with complex chronic and serious illnesses.
• Focus on symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, advance care planning, and family support.
• Collaborate closely with oncology, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, nephrology, critical care, hospital medicine, and primary care providers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care coordination.
• Assist with education of medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals.
