Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a dedicated Palliative Care Physician to provide comprehensive, person-centered palliative and symptom-management services to residents in long-term care settings.

This role emphasizes comfort-focused care, goals-of-care discussions, and collaboration with families and care teams. The ideal candidate has an MD license, 2+ years in palliative care, and board certification/eligibility considerations.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted MD license.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in palliative care in a hospital or nursing home–based program.
• Certification in palliative care is a plus.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Palliative Medicine, Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive and emotionally complex situations.
• Commitment to elder care, comfort-focused medicine, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Competitive salary Per annum: $250,000 - $300,000

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments focusing on symptom management, functional status, and quality of life.
• Manage complex chronic and advanced illnesses with a comfort-focused, patient-centered approach.
• Lead goals-of-care and advance care planning conversations with residents and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including facility staff and primary care providers.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized symptom-management and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests when clinically appropriate.
• Prescribe medications and evaluate ongoing treatment effectiveness.
• Educate residents, families, and facility staff on disease progression, treatment options, and care expectations.
• Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a compassionate, respectful, and supportive care environment.
