Job summary

CHOC Children's in California is seeking a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to enhance their Supportive Care program. Responsibilities include providing empathetic care to pediatric patients and engaging in quality improvement, community outreach, and research.

Pediatric Palliative Care Physician – Southern California

CHOC Specialists is a private pediatric subspecialty group with 26 pediatric subspecialties. We’re seeking a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to join the growing Supportive Care program at CHOC Children’s Hospital in scenic Orange County, California. The supportive care services provide physical, emotional, social and spiritual care for patients and families, focusing on improving quality of life, symptom management, and end‑of‑life care. The program also provides acute and chronic pain management consultations.

Responsibilities

Provide empathetic and quality care to pediatric medical and surgical patients from birth to young adulthood. Opportunities exist in quality improvement, community outreach, research, resident/fellow education, and administrative activities.

Qualifications

• California medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Completion of fellowship in adult palliative care or pediatric palliative care (preferred)
• Current California DEA certificate
• Current PALS certification
