Job summary

Northside Hospital in the Atlanta area seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join its Palliative Medicine program.

You will lead comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluations, provide symptom management, and contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care.

Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will educate patients and families and promote excellence in compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing and NP certification required.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience; oncology, hospice, geriatrics, or palliative medicine preferred.
• Certification in palliative care (CHPN or ACPHN) within 24 months of hire.
• BLS certification required; renew every two years.
• ACLS certification preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluation for seriously ill patients.
• Manage symptoms and contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with the care team.
• Promote excellence in care and customer service.
