Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Heart, part of LHC Group, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver advanced nursing care to patients and support the interdisciplinary team in a palliative care setting in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Responsibilities include providing primary care, performing face-to-face visits, coordinating care for complex patients, and contributing to quality improvement efforts, with required certifications and a current unrestricted state license.

Qualifications

  • Current unrestricted license in the state of residence.
  • Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
  • Current certification by a national body such as ANCC or AANP.
  • Possession of NPI Number, DEA with prescribing privileges, PECOS enrollment, CAQH enrollment, Medicare number, and referable Medicaid number.
  • Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 1+ years of NP experience in chronic disease management, family care, or primary care.

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $104,500 to $156,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
