Job summary

Emory University seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to support acute care patient evaluation and treatment. You will document care, interview patients, perform exams, and assist physicians with diagnoses and care plans.

The role requires GA licensure as an APRN or PA, BLS/ACLS, and experience in high acuity settings. Collaboration with the care team and ongoing professional development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed as an advanced practice nurse in Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as an NP by ANCC or equivalent, or certified as a PA by NCCPA.
• Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
• May require at least one year of direct experience in high acuity clinical specialties.
• BLS, ACLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
• Documents the delivery of care in medical records.
• Conducts patient interviews and documents histories and health status.
• Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures under physician supervision.
• Orders and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
• Educates patients on health habits and follow-up care.
• Maintains accurate patient records and participates in professional activities.
