Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to join our Alabama facility. You will assemble component parts and finished products according to customer specifications, ensure correct parts are used, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires basic math, adherence to quality standards, and participation in safety programs. The position runs Monday through Friday from 5:00pm to 3:00am with potential for growth and adherence to established procedures and production records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete assembly.
• Stacks completed products and labels/labels components when required.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.**Principle Duties and Responsibilities*** Completes work area setup* Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards* Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process* Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product* Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate* Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns* Maintains a clean and orderly work environment* Maintains production records as required* Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards* Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards* Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings* Performs other duties as assigned**Qualifications*** High school diploma/GED preferred but not required* 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred* Working knowledge of basic math preferred* Must be at least 18 years of age**Hours**Mon - Fri 5:00pm - 3:00am
