Job summary

A leading equipment provider seeks a Palleting Associate in Sheridan, Wyoming. You will be responsible for building shipping crates and loading/unloading materials using hand and power tools. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and knowledge of safe tool handling. Forklift driving experience is preferred. The role includes physical demands such as lifting heavy weights and may require working outside in various weather conditions. Competitive wages and benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Build shipping crates/pallets for products.
• Safely load and unload parts and materials.
• Complete forklift inspections and communicate maintenance issues.
• Complete forklift inspections to monitor the maintenance needs; communicate maintenance issues on a timely basis to your supervisor.
• Assist with the organization and good housekeeping of the facility.
• Ability to work outside, sometimes during inclement weather conditions, loading and unloading materials/parts.
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.

As a Palleting Associate working in the Palleting Department, you will be responsible for the crating of products and materials in preparation for on-time shipment. Successful candidates will be organized, demonstrate good communication skills, and safely use various hand tools.

Job Duties

• Build shipping crates/pallets
• Safely load/unload parts and materials throughout the facility
• Work with hand and power tools
• Complete forklift inspections to monitor the maintenance needs; communicate maintenance issues on a timely basis to your supervisor
• Assist with the organization and good housekeeping of the facility
• Ability to work outside, sometimes during inclement weather conditions, loading and unloading materials/parts
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of safe use and handling of tools
• Forklift driving experience, preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift medium to heavy weight up to 75 lbs.
• May sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
• Must have adequate sight to read blueprints, work orders, or other documents
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
