Job summary

Request Foods is seeking a Pallet Sorter (Level 3) for the 2nd shift in Holland, MI. The starting pay is $21.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium. This role supports Shipping/Receiving by repairing pallets, restacking bins, and maintaining dock organization while following safety procedures.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification or the ability to obtain it, and basic math skills. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for repairing pallets, including the sorting of pallets and the re-stacking of bins.
• Maintain the Shipping & Receiving docks in an orderly fashion.
• Responsible for the daily housekeeping duties of the warehouse (sweeping of the warehouse floors, wiping of the racks, re-stack of inventory materials, etc.).
• Clean and maintain battery area.
• Monitor batteries by making sure batteries are fully charged and watered.
• Help maintain warehouse free from NR’s issued by USDA inspector.
• Perform heavy lifting following approved methods to avoid injury.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed for forklift/ order picker operations, product and ingredient storage (including load capacity), and other work practices to avoid and eliminate workplace hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/ Education/ Skills

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Must have proficient math skills.

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.
• Good organizational skills and detailed oriented.
