Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable Pallet/Pit Tech to operate forklifts, order pickers, and related equipment to move materials in a warehouse setting. The role includes loading/unloading, pallet building, and routine cleaning tasks to maintain facilities.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with two shift options (2:00 pm–10:30 pm) or (10:00 pm–6:30 am). Pay is $19.50 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package. ABM encourages veterans and applicants with military experience to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• Attention to Detail and accuracy in loading/stacking items.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Teamwork with warehouse staff and shift coordinators.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operating PITs: use forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment to move materials.
• Loading and Unloading: assist with loading/unloading vehicles.
• Material Handling: move, locate, relocate, and stack items.
• Staging and Pallet Building: prepare materials for delivery.
• Safety: ensure safe operation and adherence to safety protocols.
• Equipment Maintenance: perform basic inspections and maintenance.
• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors/fixtures.
• Notify management about repairs or needs for changes to facilities.
• Maintain communication with clients, coworkers, supervisors, and managers.
• Comply with safety, security, and quality standards.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Pallet/Pit Tech to operate various industrial vehicles to move materials and pallets within a warehouse or industrial setting. This may involve using forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment to lift, stack, and transport items. The Pallet/Pit Tech also assist with loading and unloading vehicles and may be responsible for tasks like building pallets. As well as additional cleaning duties within the warehouse.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) OR (10:00 pm - 6:30 am)

Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour

• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Wash and replace blinds.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
