Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a data engineer to work with Palantir Foundry to design and implement data pipelines, data models, and ingestion processes. You will collaborate with data scientists and business teams to derive actionable insights and support AI/ML initiatives.

The role requires hands-on Palantir Foundry experience, strong Python/SQL/Java skills, and the ability to manage complex data ecosystems. Expect dynamic collaboration across teams and ongoing platform optimization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry or other Palantir platforms.
• At least 5 years of programming experience in Python, SQL, or Java essential for data analysis and manipulation.
• Experience working with large datasets, including knowledge of distributed computing tools like Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in using Code Workbooks or Pipeline Builder to write and execute Python, Java, or SQL scripts for data processing.
• Ability to model and organize data into an ontology within Foundry, creating logical structures for easy data access and use.
• Strong understanding of integrating data from multiple sources into Foundry, including ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience in building, managing, and optimizing data pipelines in Foundry.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of implementing and utilizing data lineage features within Palantir.
• Knowledge of setting up and managing data access controls within Palantir, ensuring compliance with data governance policies.
• Experience ensuring data usage complies with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and define data requirements.
• Identify data sources and plan, design, and build data acquisition from sources.
• Define data models and taxonomy; design ingestion pipelines and transform data in Foundry.
• Connect diverse data sources to develop ingestion and consumption pipelines.
• Derive data insights for operational analytics and data science use cases.
• Develop data insights, data mining, and support AI/ML training and deployment.
• Create design artifacts describing technical components for maintenance.
• Participate in sprint planning to estimate work.
• Support end-to-end testing with client systems interfacing with Palantir solutions.
