Painter / Masker – General Labor

Schedule: Monday–Friday
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Painter / Masker – General Labor position is responsible for preparing, masking, and painting parts according to shop work orders, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports production by ensuring surfaces are properly prepared, painted, and protected while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Painter Responsibilities
  • Inspect parts and evaluate required painting details prior to application
  • Select and prepare the correct paint based on shop paperwork, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Mix paints according to supplied instructions and Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning and performing minor sanding as required
  • Apply paint to various surfaces and metals using spray guns or other approved paint methods
  • Ensure painted parts meet quality and finish standards
  • Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within specified production timelines
  • Work collaboratively with team members to coordinate workflow and meet production goals
Masker / General Labor Responsibilities
  • Mask and shield surfaces of parts that do not require painting or processing
  • Process parts according to shop work orders, drawings, and applicable specifications
  • Inspect incoming parts for damage, scratches, or defects and report issues as needed
  • Follow supervisor instructions and comply with assigned tasks and priorities
  • Accurately complete work orders and all required documentation
  • Safely handle and manage hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
