Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Painter to prepare surfaces and apply paints, enamels, stains, shellac, and varnishes on equipment. You will work with a Lead Painter to align priorities and ensure quality across units.

Responsibilities include color confirmation, cleaning and inspecting guns, applying primers and base coats, and performing final inspections. This safety-sensitive role requires bending, kneeling, and occasional work at heights, with comprehensive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of painting experience or related work.
• Occasional working at heights above 10 feet.
• Ability to wear a respirator and/or hearing protection as required.
• Ability to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged period of time.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 with Lead Painter regarding daily priorities.
• Confirm correct paint colors for each unit.
• Bleed out air compressor to ensure there is no moisture.
• Clean and inspect paint gun.
• Inspect prepped units for quality.
• Apply pre-cleaner with Tack Rag to clean surface.
• Suit up (Head cover, Paint suit, Respirator, Gloves, etc.).
• Apply primer to exposed metal and apply base coat.
• Conduct final inspection of all units to ensure accuracy.
• Tool maintenance: clean/flush paint guns, collect tools, return them.
• Inspect work area to ensure the booth is left in the same condition.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Compensation Range:

$22.90 - $34.35
