Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an experienced Painter for a full-time role in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will patch and paint sheetrock walls in an office setting, install corner guards, and perform small carpentry tasks while ensuring high quality finishes.

The position offers Monday–Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm shifts with a pay rate of $27.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is provided by ABM, with emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity in a team environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of commercial or industrial painting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of paint types, application techniques and related tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Paint walls, woodwork, and fixtures.
• Prepare surfaces by removing old finishes and filling holes.
• Patch and paint sheetrock walls in an office setting.

• Plan and lay out work from blueprints and drawings using carpentry tools.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and maintain a clean work area after tasks.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Painter to join our team for a full-time position. In this role, you will ensure that all painted surfaces meet our high standards of quality and finish, contributing to the overall excellence of our production process. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is able to patch and paint sheetrock walls in office setting, possesses knowledge/experience installing corner guards, and complete small carpentry tasks.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Shift: M-F 9:00 am to 5:00 PM.

Pay: $27.00 per hour.

• Project planning

• Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments
• Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work
  Select materials necessary for the work
• Paint walls, woodwork, and fixtures
• Identify surface peculiarities and determine the types of paint required for different applications
• Prepare surface for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes
• Mix colors, oils, white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency
• Use spray gun and/or brush to apply paint

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 year of experience in commercial or industrial painting highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of paint types, application techniques, and appropriate tools for touch-up work.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
