Job summary

CSR Marine, a full-service boatyard serving Puget Sound since 1977, seeks an experienced Painter to join our Des Moines, WA location. You will prepare boats for bottom paint, apply coatings with rollers, HVLP, and airless spray systems, and ensure surfaces meet manufacturer specifications.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with good interpersonal communication, able to wear a full-body garment and respirator, and comfortable working in outdoor, high-noise environments.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to follow safety procedures.
• Must be able to wear PPE including respirator and full-body garment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boats for bottom paint work (sanding, masking, tearing down).
• Paint surfaces using rollers, HVLP, and airless spray systems.
• Prepare surfaces per paint manufacturer specifications and apply coatings.
• Dispose of waste and store materials per safety standards.

We are looking for an experienced Painter to start immediately at our Des Moines, WA location. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly motivated, and can work with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Prepare boats for bottom paint work, including sanding, masking, taping, bagging, and unbagging/tear down. Painting using rollers, HVLP, and airless spray systems. Prepare surfaces for coating according to paint manufacturers' specifications. Paint surfaces using approved methods.
