The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Painter, WG-4102, to support the Facilities Management Service.

The role involves using brushes, rollers and spray equipment to paint and refinish furniture, wood and metal, including operating room and laundry equipment, and applying special finishes. You will select appropriate coating methods, tint materials, and sealants, review work orders, and ensure surfaces are prepped to guidelines.

Competenze

• Knowledge of accepted surface preparation and coating methods.
• Ability to tint, tone and match coatings using tinting machines and additives.
• Experience with paints for wood, metal and furniture and equipment.

Mansioni

• Paints and refinish furniture, wood and metal surfaces including desks and cabinets.
• Glazes and caulks windows on HVAC equipment; cuts and installs glass as needed.
• Prepares materials by tinting, toning, matching and mixing additives.
• Makes repairs to wood surfaces during prep and matches areas for uniform finish.
