Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech in Orlando, FL is seeking a Painter III to apply auto paint and body finishing to ground support equipment according to Oshkosh AeroTech specifications.

You will complete lean initiatives (5S), troubleshoot issues, document VOC logs and keep work area safe; requires five or more years of auto paint and body experience. This is a full-time role in a safety-conscious, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typically five+ years auto paint and body experience.
• Experience with grit blast and final paint of heavy machinery required.

Responsibilities

• Paint according to Oshkosh AeroTech - GSE specifications.
• Complete assigned Lean initiatives including 5S activities.
• Troubleshoot problems, identify and communicate discrepancies.
• Complete required paint documentation including VOC log and check sheets.
• Move painted parts to the next process verifying they meet Oshkosh AeroTech specifications.
• Recommend improvements to paint procedures.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and keep all employees aware of dangers in work area.

The Painter III is responsible for using their paint/body experience, Grit Blast, and sound judgment to complete assigned paint requirements.

• Paint according to Oshkosh AeroTech - Ground Support Equipment (GSE) specifications
• Complete assigned Lean initiatives including 5s activities
• Troubleshoot problems, identify and communicate discrepancies
• Complete required paint documentation including VOC log and check sheets

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience
• Typically has five or more years auto paint and body experience
• Experience with prep, grit blast and final paint of heavy machinery required
• Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
