Job summary

REV Group is seeking a skilled Painter at their Snyder, NE facility. You will prepare parts, mix coatings, and apply primers and color coatings using gravity feed guns, ensuring gloss and finish standards are met. A strong eye for detail and teamwork are essential.

Preferred 1–2 years of automotive painting experience and vocational education. You will work in a safety-conscious environment with OSHA/EPA compliance, and benefits start day one.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years automotive painting experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years vocational education preferred.
  • Ability to run dual action sanders, grinders, and miscellaneous hand tools.
  • Must have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paint.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Learn how to mix primers and other paint products.
  • Must have OSHA and EPA standards knowledge.
  • Know how to operate paint gun and disassemble/assemble to clean and maintain performance.

Responsibilities

  • Clean parts with wax and grease remover and inspect prior to painting.
  • Prep product for final paint.
  • Mix coatings with reducer and catalyst at correct mixtures, using color mixture equipment.
  • Spray primers/Sealer with gravity feed primer spray gun.
  • Apply color and clear coating with spray equipment to meet coverage and gloss standards.
  • Check wet film thickness with wet mill gauge.
  • Check dry film thickness with a dry film gauge.
  • Maintain spray equipment to meet operating standards but not including repair of equipment.
  • Maintain paint booth cleanliness and filter changes and sign log sheets.
  • Ensure hazardous waste is placed in proper containers; know spill response procedures.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.

What a day in the life of a Painter at REV looks like:

  • Maintain spray equipment to meet operational standards but not including repair of equipment
  • Maintain paint booth cleanliness and filter changes and sign log sheets
  • Ensure that hazardous waste that is handled is placed in proper containers
  • Know spill response procedures and evacuation plan
  • Keep work area clean and organized
Required education, skills, and experiences to be successful:
  • Preferred 1-2-year experience in automotive painting
  • Preferred 1-2 years vocational education
  • Ability to run dual action sanders, grinders, and miscellaneous hand tools
  • Must have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paint
  • Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to learn how to mix primers and other paint products
  • Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
  • Must have knowledge of operation of paint gun and know how to disassemble/assemble to clean and maintain optimal performance.

  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding
  • Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Ability to push/pull carts and racks in and out of booths
  • Ability to work with arms above head
  • Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding
  • Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
  • Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
  • Ability to work in 95 plus degree temperatures
  • Must pass a spirometer test and can use a respirator.
