Job description

Overview

Painters will be expected to perform all stages of painting and prep to paint in accordance with source documents and company procedures. Will paint a variety of items utilizing various materials (i.e. CARC and Military coatings) Must independently plan details of work, selecting method, equipment and process best suited for particular requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for accurately blending colors, managing the stages of painting, and maintaining a proper painting environment.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: masking, sanding, grinding and applying paint.
  • Qualified to utilize spray paint tools and other related equipment.
  • Must be able to prepare and prep vehicles and parts for painting
  • Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Communicate with supervisors and engineers regarding job progress, issues, or design changes.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • One-year painting experience preferred
  • Indoor/outdoor shop setting with exposure to noise, heat, and heavy equipment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
