Regal Rexnord Corp in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Painter/Handyman to maintain the facility's appearance and functionality. The role covers non-technical painting, minor repairs, and general upkeep, supporting a safe, clean, and organized plant environment.

You will perform interior and exterior painting, touch up surfaces, handle basic carpentry, operate a scissor lift, and report larger maintenance issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of painting and general handyman experience.
• Proven knowledge of painting techniques, tools, materials, and surface preparation.
• Ability to perform a variety of general repair and improvement tasks.
• Ability to safely operate a scissor lift (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting projects, including surface preparation, patching, sanding, priming, and finishing.
• Touch up walls, floors, equipment, and designated areas to maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Complete general handyman tasks such as minor repairs, fixture replacements, basic carpentry, and small improvement projects.
• Repair or replace doors, locks, trim, shelving, and other non-technical components.
• Operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely to complete elevated work assignments.
• Follow all company safety procedures and keep work areas safe and organized.
• Identify and report larger or technical maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working condition.
• Assist with facility organization and improvement initiatives as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned

Position Summary

The Painter/Handyman is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the manufacturing facility through painting, minor repairs, and general upkeep. This role focuses on non-technical, non-maintenance tasks that improve the condition and presentation of the plant. The position supports a safe, clean, and organized work environment by completing a variety of small improvement projects and repairs.

Hourly range is $20-$25 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting projects, including surface preparation, patching, sanding, priming, and finishing
• Touch up walls, floors, equipment, and designated areas throughout the facility to maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Complete general handyman tasks such as minor repairs, fixture replacements, basic carpentry, and small improvement projects

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in painting and general handyman work
• Proven knowledge of painting techniques, tools, materials, and surface preparation
• Experience performing a variety of general repair and improvement tasks
• Ability to safely operate a scissor lift (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and quality of work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple small projects
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to facility upkeep

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly
• Comfortable working at heights using ladders or scissor lifts
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures

Additional Information

This role is not responsible for mechanical or technical maintenance of machinery but plays a key role in maintaining the facility's appearance, safety, and overall condition.
