Job summary

BENCHMARK, located at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, Texas, is seeking a Maintenance Worker. You will be responsible for repairing walls, ceilings, and other surfaces while performing preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.

Ideal candidates have interior painting experience and can work independently. The position offers hourly pay, vacation days, medical insurance, and various other benefits, including hotel discounts and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Experience with patching and painting walls, ceilings, doors, trim.
• Preferred ability to repair vinyl, faux, tile surfaces.
• Texas driver's license with a good driving record preferred.

Overview

The position is located at the Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center, a high-end private hotel in Westlake, Texas. The hotel has 1,400 single-occupancy rooms, nine restaurants and lounges, 200,000 square feet of meeting space, and a fitness center and sports fields for associates.

Responsibilities

• Repair walls, ceilings, and other surfaces throughout the hotel and meeting spaces.


• Perform preventive maintenance work orders and maintain organized logs.


• Identify problems, initiate work orders, and complete assigned repairs.


• Use building systems such as the Building Management System and Life Safety Systems (training provided).


• Maintain inventory of tools and use proper PPE and safety protocols.


• Assist with maintenance requests for other trades as needed.

Qualifications

• Interior painting experience required.


• Ability to work independently on paint jobs and properly patch and paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, etc.


• Preferred ability to repair vinyl, faux, tile surfaces.


• Experience using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and related tools.


• Texas driver’s license with a good driving record preferred.

Compensation

Pay rate: $22.20 per hour (full time, 3rd shift).
