Job summary

Velociti Services is seeking a detail-oriented Painter to join our team. You will select tools, prepare surfaces, apply paints, and ensure a lasting finish while maintaining safety standards. Collaboration with design and construction specialists is expected.

The role requires 2+ years of painting experience, knowledge of health and safety rules, and strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs. is a must.

Qualifications

• Trade school diploma or apprenticeship and high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of painting experience on residential or commercial spaces.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards for the painting trade.
• Good planning, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Painter at Velociti Services you will need to be deadline-driven with great attention to detail. You will be expected to use color theory principles to match shades, follow written and verbal instructions, and use a variety of tools to paint surfaces. Other responsibilities include completing minor repairs, having excellent caulking skills, and ability to select correct paints and primers.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Selecting the correct tools and paints for projects
• Preparing walls and other surfaces before painting
• Mixing and applying paints, varnishes, and sealants for a lasting finish
• Covering exposed objects and surfaces
• Using fillers such as putty and plaster to repair cracks, in addition to proven caulking skills
• Buying paint, brushes, and other supplies
• Obeying workplace safety rules
• Collaborating with other design and construction specialists
• Keeping the workspace and tools clean
• Other duties as assigned or requested

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship and high school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as a painter
• Experience painting residential or commercial spaces
• Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards
• Good planning and organization skills
• Good listening and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

Applicants for this role must be able to:

• Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments
• Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day

• Requires ability to bend, reach and stand for extended periods
