Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Navicent Health Medical Center in Milledgeville, GA. The role performs building and equipment maintenance in compliance with codes and uses CMMS to document work orders. Schedule includes 40 hours per week with after-hours and weekend work as needed.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and certification or training in a relevant trade. Experience under 2 years in equipment maintenance preferred.

Schedule Details/Additional Information

Schedule varies according to needs for painting. Position will frequently work after hours and potentially on weekends.

Pay Range

$26.55 - $39.85

Major Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Documents through use of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems such as plumbing, medical gas, fire alarm, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Manage response and repairs associated with emergencies such as leaks, floods, water outages, fires, power outages, equipment failures, etc.
• Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments.

Licensure, Registration, And/or Certification Required

• Certification and/or additional training in a skill/trade/equipment/system that is applicable to the job needs and the specific location.
• Valid Driver's License

Education Required

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience Required

• Less than 2 Years Experience in equipment maintenance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures.
• Basic computer skills in using systems such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight with basic technical skills in facility maintenance.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
• Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force.
• Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions.
• Position requires travel. May be exposed to road/weather hazards.
• Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
