Austin Industrial in the United States is seeking a skilled Painter to prepare wood and metal surfaces and apply coatings to equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other areas using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.

The job requires 4 years of Journeyman level experience, NCCER certification, and a valid driver’s license; applicants must be able to work at heights and meet safety and productivity standards in industrial environments.

Responsabilités

• Reads work orders and follows written or verbal instructions.
• Prepare surfaces by removing dirt, oil, and old paint, and repair cracks.
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladders for elevated tasks.
• Apply paint with spray gun, brush, or roller to surfaces according to specifications.
• Work at heights and in industrial environments with safety in mind.
• Duties may include other tasks as assigned.

Painter

Must be able to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting, and paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush, and rollers. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

• Reads work orders and receives instructions verbally.
• Prepare the surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, and grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, coating, and filling holes.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• May fill cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color, according to specifications using a paddle or mechanical mixer.
• May erect scaffolding or set up a ladder to perform tasks above ground level.
• Apply paint to the surface using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
• Other duties as assigned.
