Job summary

Automation Personnel Services, Inc. in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Paint Assistant to join a growing aerospace coating and metal finishing operation. You will support painters, prepare and stage parts, and help ensure quality throughout the finishing process.

The role offers a four-day workweek from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with weekend availability. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour plus benefits and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing or paint shop experience (finishing or coating environment is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow written instructions and work orders.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist painters with the preparation and finishing of aerospace and defense components.
• Prepare and stage parts for finishing processes.
• Review work orders and prioritize parts staging based on production schedules.
• Clean, mask, and prepare parts before painting.
• Hang and rack parts for coating application.
• Mix paints and coatings according to work instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of paint booths and work areas.
• Inspect parts for visible defects before and after painting.
• Support production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Paint Assistant

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Paint Assistant for a company based in Clearwater, FL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while being a key part of a dynamic team in a fast-growing aerospace coating and metal finishing manufacturer.

Pay Rate
$18.00 – $22.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Four-day workweek consisting of 10-hour shifts (5:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Candidates must be flexible and available to work weekends

Painter Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist painters with the preparation and finishing of aerospace and defense components
• Responsible for organizing, preparing, and staging parts for various finishing processes.
• Review work orders and prioritize parts staging based on production schedules
• Clean, mask, and prepare parts before painting
• Hang and rack parts for proper coating application
• Mix paints and coatings according to work instructions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of paint booths and work areas
• Inspect parts for visible defects before and after painting
• Support production deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Paint Assistant Qualifications and Requirements
